Planning a street fair or block party? Your Community Board can tell you how to apply; they need six weeks notice. The Mayor's Street Activity Permit Office issues permits based on the Community Board's recommendation. The Community Assistance Unit handles complaints about noise, leftover messes and any other problems associated with street events.
